Yippeeee!

I got the best news today. Shawna over at "Scrap Schemes" has asked me to be a member of her design team. Yippeeeeee!! I already have my first assignment well, the inspiration piece and it's really cool. I better get to work and come up with something fabulous!!!!

Nothing new

Well, I don't have any new layouts to post, but I do have a card to share. I did this a while ago and it was published in the March issue of Cards magazine. The call was for cards using chipboard and this is what I came up with. The chipboard scrolls were covered with clear micro beads and glued together to form the top of the crown. Unfortunately when the card was mailed back to me it was in pieces, so I don't have a good picture of it, this is from the actual magazine.

While I have some time on my hands I've decided to organize my studio. This is an on going process for me, since I'm always buying more supplies. As a scrapbooker and crafter I am always looking for good storage solutions here is a terrific blog that has a ton of ideas.

Git 'er dun!!!

Well, last week I got the news that One Heart One Mind was shutting down and of course letting me and the rest of the design team go. I'm really going to miss working for them, it was such a great experience. But the owner, Becki got a terrific opportunity she couldn't pass on.
Anyway, now I'm looking for a new opportunity myself. It's been really hard to get back in the swing of things I'm use to my routine and I just work better when I know the project has to get done. Now I'm foot loose and fancy free, with a ton of supplies, I don't know where to start!!
I was thinking of making up challenges for myself. The first one should be only use the supplies I have already!!! But I know I wouldn't be able to to that! (LOL)
I really do need to do a few layouts though I've been doing so many cards and altered stuff lately that I've neglected all the photos I need to scrap. I guess that will be my first challenge, at least two layouts this week. As my old boss used to say "Git 'er dun!!!!!"

Happy Mother's Day

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. I sure did!! Jaiden and Jacob woke me up this morning with a big hugs and screaming "Happy Mother's Day"!!!! I got some beautiful roses and was treated to brunch.

Here is my gift that Jaiden made for me at school. Isn't it cute! She loved it so much that she wanted to keep it, she's definitely going to be a crafter of some sort! :)

Blogging again

So much has happened since my last post that I can't even try to catch up, so I won't.(LOL)
Mother's Day is just around the corner and I just started working on a album for my mother-in-law. It's one of those word albums, and I'm excited to see how it turns out. Hopefully I'll have time to take pictures and post them before I mail it to her.
Can't forget to mention it's National Scrapbook Day on Saturday. Hope you all have fun and get some great bargins!!!
