I have a thing for snowmen and GLUE!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was great, lots of food, fun and family.
I didn't do any of the after Thanksgiving sales though - Not brave enough!!! (LOL)

If you didn't know it by now, I have a thing for snowmen!!! I love to make projects that include them somehow. I also have a small (okay, maybe not so small) collection of them that grows every Christmas. Unfortunately, I don't get to keep this one! I made this, especially for Mrs Clark, my little girl's teacher. She recently moved here to Florida from New York, and I thought this might bring her a little "Snowy Christmas Cheer" even if we won't get any snow here!!!

Supplies used:
Patterned paper, chipboard and letters stickers - Scenic Route
Pearls - Kaiser Crafts
Wood door hanger and snowman - Hobby Lobby
Other - glitter, paint and sequins.

Okay, now I can share some really FABULOUS news! I made the Helmar USA design team!!! Is that crazy or what, I still can't believe it, especially when I found out who else made the team. I can't wait to try out all the different kinds of glue and experiment with some new techniques. Some really talented ladies will be on the team with me, check them out for yourself.
Before I go, I just wanted to share
are a few more snowmen friends of mine.

This one is a gift tag, that can be used as an ornament after the gift has been opened. The head of the tag is a wood ornament that was altered with micro beads, patterned paper, rub-ons and paint. A chipboard tag was glued to the back of the ornament to form the body and then embellished with buttons and some more rub-ons.

This next one is a gift card holder, which reminds me, Mothers and Daughters challenge this week is to make a gift card holder. More details here.

I Believe..... In Christmas!

Hi everyone , I just wanted to post a fun challenge Mothers and Daughters Creations is having this week. I didn't think I'd have time to do it, but I managed to squeeze this card out this weekend. The challenge was to use dark green, light green and red to create a card and bonus points if we could add a gingerbread man into the mix! Well I didn't have any gingerbread embellies, paper or stamps, so I made my own one out of one of the pages of a Maya Road girl album.

Supply list:
Chipboard - Maya Road (girl or boy album and tree) and Scenic Route (I believe and bracket)
Patterned paper - Chatterbox Inc. and Junkitz
Cardstock - Bazzill
Buttons - Autumn Leaves
Felt - American Crafts
Ribbon - Rusty Pickle
Other - Stickles paint, brown fluid chalk, beads, paint and glitter.

To recreate, simply rub the fluid chalk over the head, hands and feet of the chipboard figure, then use some "Stickles" paint to create the look of frosting.

Dress the figure with a strip of red patterned paper, a strip of scalloped paper and a thicker strip of pleated patterned paper.

Embellish with felt, ribbon, beads chipboard and buttons.

Just for me!!!

Here is a clock I altered just for me!!! I've had it for a while, another one of my bargain finds from Hobby Lobby. The glass was missing, so I got it for about 3 bucks!
Anyway, I've always loved the look of the old fashioned alarm clocks, especially the ones with the double bells for some reason. This one was too cute to pass up, it only has one bell, but it was pink....so how could I resist!!!!
Basically, I just covered the entire thing with patterned paper and stickers. (For the bell, I tore up the patterned paper first and then used Mod Podge to smooth the pieces over the bell.)

All supplies are by Pink Paislee ( Pop Fashion collection) except for the bling.

So what's everyone else up to? Ready for the Holidays yet? I'm doing a handmade ornament swap for the first time, so I'm kinda excited about that. I just have a few more gifts to make and a lot of Christmas shopping to do!!!

To my RAK winner YoZfie -
I still haven't received your mailing address, I'd like to try to mail your scrapping stuff to you this week!

Talk to you all soon.

Okay, so to the winner of the RAK. I had Jacob, my youngest pull a name out of a bowl, it took a while though, he kept pulling out a handful of names instead of just one. But the winner is.........

I'm so excited!!!

Hi everyone,
So why am I so excited, you ask!!! Well, I'm lucky enough to be one of the guest designers for Say It With Letters this month. Who could ask for a better birthday gift, right!!! Deb sent me a wreath cut out to work with. I had about four different ideas when I first got it, but went with my original idea of a traditional Christmas wreath. But wouldn't it be great for Thanksgiving too! You can find a tutorial for the wreath over at the SIWL blog tomorrow when my wreath will be posted. It's really a pretty easy project, and once all the leaves are cut out, it doesn't take very long to put together at all. This will be Grandma's gift for Christmas from the kids this year, but I will have to update the photo, so she can have a current Christmas photo of the kids.

Deb also sent me and a really cool letter "J" from their Fancy Schmancy line of letters. It's going to look FABULOUS in my scraproom once it's done, that's if Miss Jaiden doesn't try and take it. She already told me "J is for Jaiden and M is for Mommy!!!"

Here are a couple close ups.
See ya soon!

Birthday RAK!

Hi everyone,
I wanted to do a RAK to celebrate my 4oth Birthday!!! I really should have posted this a few days ago as my birthday is tomorrow, but that's okay I'll give you till November 12th (midnight) to leave a comment as to whether you would prefer a custom altered Christmas project or some scrapping goodies. That's it, easy!!! If you decided on the altered piece I'll even add a custom message on the sign post for you. Good luck!

Halloween pictures

Hi everyone hope you all enjoyed your Halloween! I know I did and the kids had a blast. I wasn't too naughty though, I made sure to buy candy for the "trick or treaters" that only my husband likes, lemon heads and red hots. NO CHOCOLATE!!!! :)
Anyway this is just a quick post to share the kids photos. I'm busy working on a project for a guest design spot, that I should be able to share soon.
