Hi guys! I'm back with...... you guessed it, another Maya Road CHA project. Are you thinking about Christmas yet? Probably not! - And when I was trying to figure out what to make, with this album, I wasn't either. But then I remembered my stash of Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses and was totally inspired to go Christmas!!! :)
The banner was made with Maya Road's new Pennant Chipboard Album. And can I just say "I love, love, love this album!" Each album comes with 4 scalloped pages and 4 plain ones. The size of the plain pages are about 4 3/4" by 7" and the scalloped ones are a little bigger, so they're a really nice size to play with.
The little bird in the center of the banner, was made out of half a paper mache egg. The egg was covered with punched border strips and then I added chipboard wings, legs and a beak.
For the hat, I made a small cone out of some patterned paper. Then scrunched it around a little, until I was happy with the shape. To finish it off I added some Maya Road trim, fur and a pom pom.
Here you can see how I used the Green and Turquoise Trinket Leaf Pins to embellish the banner. Some under the small Chipboard Snowflakes (shown above) and again on the larger snowflakes seen below.

Hi Jennifer! I just saw your post on the Maya Road blog for the snowman countdown calender you made -- took my breath away! Can you please send me a more detailed note on how you made the head/hat and attached them to the base -- I'm confused on this part. Also, what papers did you use -- I love the ledger paper! Is the scarf paper or fabric? I am now following your blog ... you are an AMAZING artist :)
Hi Debbie. I hope the next post helps. If you still have questions let me know.
The bird is delightful!!
