Maya Road and Vintage Street Market Swap

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing a project I did for the Maya Road / Vintage Street Market Swap.  I was a little worried about this swap, since my style isn't really vintage at all. But when I saw the bright colors and images of the Party Games Paper Pack, I started thinking of vintage toys. Since my son loves robots I made this for his room. BTW the reason this little guy doesn't have a mouth, is because my son likes it that way - He's the boss after all!!

The robot was made out of recycled boxes and containers, some wood pieces and an old Slinky, that my son stretched out of shape. I covered the head with some kraft paper then used some Maya Road Kraft Library Cards and papers from the Vintage Street Market Party Games paper pack to cover the rest of the robot.

In the close up below you can see I used a couple MR embellishment tins for the ears and on the eyes.

Here you can see the gears from two different chipboard album's were covered with paper and then adhered to the front of the robots body. Then a Super Mega Bottle Cap was glued to the center of the gears and embellished with mini scalloped pieces, a chipboard button and Wood Bingo (heart) Mofit piece.

Be sure to visit the Maya Road DT blog for some more Vintage Street Market fun and a chance to win a Maya Road prize pack. Good Luck!
