Samantha Walker Creative Team Blog Hop!

Hello everyone and welcome to another Samantha Walker blog hop! :) If you just arrived from Jennifer's blog then you're right on track, if not you can can begin the hop at Samantha's blog HERE. Samantha will also have all the info on how to win one of her digital kits!

Today I have a simple altered project to share. I picked this wood cutout at Hobby Lobby recently and decided to use a mixture of Samantha's papers to alter it.

Here's a "before" shot of the piece, so you can see what it looked like. So I basically just took the whole thing apart and covered each piece with patterned paper and cardstock.

I then used my Silhouette to cut out 2 of the 1Piece Leaf Clusters from cardstock and glued them to the birds feathers, as seen below.

I then glued all my pieces back together, but before adhering the brim of the hat I attached a roughly pleated diecut border first.

Chipboard letters were covered with patterned papers from the 6x6 Orchard Harvest paper pad and then added to the sign. Berries, ribbon, brads, twine and trim were then used to embellish the rest of the piece.

Here's one last closeup of my little turkey before I go.

Thanks so much for visiting! Your next stop is to Guiseppa's blog.
