Have You Heard?....

Maya Road and Core'dinations have teamed up to do a blog swap. Make sure to check out both blogs as there will be giveaways and lots of cool ideas all week long. The MR team were asked to make a card and tag for the swap and this is what I came up with.

My tag

Maya Road Supplies:
Postage Stamp Coaster Book, Cupcakes Chipboard Set, Brackets Chipboard Set, Leaf Trinket Pins, Green Thumb Mini Chipboard Set, Mixed Blossom Mini Chipboard Set, Zipper Trim, William Mini Chipboard Alphabet, Windows Chipboard Set and Hanging Chandelier Trinket Beads.
Core'dinations Cardstock: Gemstones Collection - Quartz and  Whitewash Collection - Butter Churn.

and here's my card idea.
With "bunny season" just around the corner, I thought I'd show you how this guy was put together.

  1. The Apple Coaster was turned upside down and the stem and leaf were cut off. Ears were cut out of  Core'dinations cardsock and some trim was added.
  2. The Crown Coaster was used for the bottom section of the face.
  3. Mini scalloped ovals and chipboard petals were added to the face.
  4. Use patterned paper to make a bow-tie and cardstock to make the teeth.

Maya Road Supplies: Apple Coaster, Royal Crown Coaster, Chipboard Petals, Leaf Trinket Pins, Vintage Black Pearl Trinket Pins, Mini Oval Crochet Trim and Mini Scallop Chipboard Set.
Coredinations Cardstock:Gemstones Collection - Rose Quartz and Pearl.
Core Impressions (Jillibean Soup) - Screen Door Starburst, and  Asparagus Starburst
Patterned Paper - October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket and Creative Imaginations.

Samantha Walker Blog Hop

Hello again and welcome to the Samantha Walker blog hop! If you just left Julie's blog then you're on the right track, if not you can start the hop here on Samantha's blog. Just leave a comment on this and all the other blogs along the way, for your chance to win a prize package of patterned papers and stickers from Samantha
Walker's Cowboy Collection.

Okay, so I'm still enjoying playing with fabrics and thought Samantha's Enchanted Garden collection by Riley Blake, would be perfect for a Spring project. The pattern I used for the bunny had a more primitive feel but since Samantha's fabrics are more contemporary I wanted to keep the bunny that way too. So instead of torn edges on the bottom of the pants and dress I finished the hems with pleated and gingham ribbons.

To make the pinwheel I "mod podged" two fabrics together, so it became double sided. Once the fabric dried I became more like paper and I could cut and bend it to shape.

Thanks so much for visiting!   Next up is the talented Nancy Doren, you can click the logo below to hop to her blog.
