Maya Road & Jillibean Soup Swap

Over the summer break we took the kids to watch the new Smurfs movie. I was so inspired by their village, I knew I had to try making a little mushroom house of my own someday. Then I received some Jillibean Soup papers in the mail for a swap and knew they would be a perfect fit for this project.... All I need now are some tiny Smurfs! :)

All this week on the Maya Road and Jillibean Soup blog's you can see more projects done for the swap by the design teams. Don't forget to leave a comment on the Maya Road blog for your chance to win a prize pack of goodies!

See you soon,
Jen

BTW: I've seen a couple people are interested in seeing how this was put together, so I'll be showing you how on my next MR blog post. (the 9th Sept.)

Happy Friday!

Hi guys!  Hope you all had a great week and are ready for the weekend!  Today I'm back to share my Maya Road treat box idea with you.  Of course all the details can be found on the DT blog. But here's a peek, since you're here! :)

Pretty much everything used on this project is by Maya Road except for the patterned papers, which are by Bella Blvd and the tiny buttons by Basic Grey.

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful weekend!

I Almost Forgot...

Hello again! I almost forgot to share this little canvas I did for CHA.  Yes - Caroline punishes the DT at each show by making us make a tag, or in this case canvas with OUR PICTURE on it!!!! :)

The main pieces used on the canvas are the Love Notes Chipboard Set, Alterable Buttons and Mini Spools and all patterned papers are by Basic Grey.

For more details on the supplies used you can go here. I'll be back later this week with another Maya Road project.  Have a wonderful, creative week! :)

Samantha Walker Creative Team Blog Hop

Hi all... and welcome to another Samantha Blog Hop! The hop starts at Samantha's Blog, so make sure and stop there first, for all the info on how you could win your choice of either an Enchanted Garden or Cowboy fat quarter bundle!

Okay, so we got to play with fabric this month and since I've been dying to make a Raggedy Ann doll for the longest time, I finally decided to give it a go. The pattern I used is called "A Round About Pattern" by Maureen Mills. The pattern basically has a mixture of dolls, snowmen and other projects for all seasons. I still have a lot to learn, as far as doll making goes. But this pattern wasn't too bad to do, especially since I don't like to read patterns! - Not always the best thing to do!!! I had a few problems with her hair, but I kind of like the messed up look she ended up with! :)

Most of the fabrics used are from the Wanna Be A Cowboy 2 collection, except for the cream floral on Annie's collar and the heart on her dress, which are from the Enchanted Garden fabric collection.

Here are a few closeups.

The headband was cut from a strip of fabric which was frayed around the edges. It helped hide some of the flaws I had going on with her hair.  The flower is by Maya Road, but it matched the fabrics so perfectly, I had to add it!

This is the little heart applique, I mentioned earlier.  I added the hand stitching around the edges to give it the look of a patch.

Well, that's it from me (and Annie) for today! Enjoy the rest of the hop! :)

My First Kit

Hi guys! How have you been doing?  Enjoying your summer I hope! Just wanted jump on here and share a few projects since I haven't done that in quite a while!!! With the kids home from school, I have less time to create and even less time to blog!  Anyways.... I wanted to show you a peek of an album kit I designed for Maya Road. It's my first time designing a kit, so hopefully people will like them and want to buy them. The kit is loaded with MR goodies, of course and yummy Bella Blvd. patterned papers. Check out the info here.

Next up, I have another mini album. This one was done for CHA and I have more pics and details on the Maya Road DT blog.

Love the size of this one! - Not too big and not too small!

My last project for today is another CHA project.  This mini banner was created using Maya Road chipboard and the new Soar butterfly album.

Here are some close ups.

For products used on this project you can click here.

So that's it for me for today, but I'll be back with some more MR and Samantha Walker goodness soon.
