Pretty in Pink!

Hello, again! Thanks for stopping by today. Just wanted to share my Pink Project for the Shimmerz blog with you. It's actually one of the projects I did for Creative Cuts & More. (I'm guesting with them next month.) As I began working on the project I knew this little hippo had to be my Cancer Awareness project for this month. Hopefully, Terry won't mind that I shared this a little early.

I used one of the CC&M chipboard frames to create the little tutu.
I simply cut the frame in half, then covered both halves with patterned paper.

I then glued some tulle ribbon, to the back of one of the pieces.

As you can see in the last picture on the left, all the pieces were then glued together.

Because the hippo is free sanding, I wanted to give it some strength. To do this, I cut the hippo silhouette out of three layers of raw chipboard. After covering the hippo with patterned paper and embellishing, the finished piece was attached to a small wood base using a dowel and glue.

Supply List:

Patterned Paper: Fancy Pants and Collage Press
Die-cuts: Collage Press
Paints: Shimmerz (Plum Pudding Spritz and Flashee Fushia)
Chipboard Frame: Creative Cuts & More
Bling flowers: Maya Road
Pearls: Kaiser Kraft
Letter Stickers: Making Memories

Don't forget Shimmerz wants to see your pink projects too!!! It's for a good cause and you might even win some goodies! Click here for more details.
