Christmas Countdown

Hello everyone! I have another holiday project to share with you today. It's a 12 day countdown to Christmas. I know I've completely skipped over Halloween and Thanksgiving, but I do have some of those projects in the works too.... I promise! :)

The body of the snowman is made out of a Maya Road Birdcage album page, then I sketched the head and top section of the hat onto two layers of raw chipboard. Cut them out and adhered them to the the body. The brim of the hat was then cut out of another piece of raw chipboard, once everything was covered with patterned paper the brim was applied to the project.

I used patterned paper to create the scarf, and it also helped to conceal the join between the head and body. More pics and details are on the Maya Road blog here.

Have a great week guys!

I love this idea. I would love to borrow it to make fun holiday gifts for my young nieces and nephews I think this would be so fun and something that would hopefully last them several years. Can you please tell us what the hooks you use for the count down numbers are? I guess that book rings would work but may be difficult to get the days off, i like the idea of just being able to lift them off. Did you use one square for each day or double side them? Thanks so much!
