Time To Call...

I should really have shares in Hobby Lobby, it seems everything I do these days is from there. I found this adorable phone a while ago in the home accents section. It was covered in blue ink and missing one of it's feet, it had a small crack along the top and the cord was all frayed. So instead of $19.99 I paid half price. I love a good deal!!!

This was really a fun project and don't you love the polka dots. All the patterned paper is by Dream Street Papers and I even got to use my Silhouette to cut the phone dial and numbers. (That poor machine is so neglected, I need to use it for more than just cutting letters!)
I'm not sure if I'm done with the phone cord yet, I might try to find some fabric stiffener or something for the ribbon instead of the wire mesh I used.

Supply List:
Patterned paper - Dream Street Papers
Letter stickers - Basic Grey and Pink Paisley
Paint, ribbon and wire mesh - Making Memories

Christmas Tweetings!!!

......I mean greetings. Are you sick of my Christmas projects yet!!!! Oh well, I love Christmas and love to make Christmas stuff even more!!!

This is a birdhouse I found at Hobby Lobby last week in the clearance section for 49 cents!!! I would have got a few more, but it was the last one, of course! I planned to take a before shot, so you could see how it looked when I brought it. I always plan to do that, but it never happens. Anyway, all the patterned paper is by Basic Grey, ribbon is American Crafts, and I glued two old Lil Davis frames together and covered them with patterned paper for the picture at the bottom. Doesn't Jacob look cute! He was about nine months in that picture, His first Christmas with us.

I almost forgot to mention I had originally thought of doing this without the frame, so I added pictures of that option too.
Thanks for visiting.

Supply list
Basic Grey - Patterned paper
K & Company - Glittered cardstock
Fancy Pants - Rub-ons
Bazzill - Just the edge (paper trim)
American Crafts - Ribbon
Making Memories - Paint
Other - Glitter, floss, beads and birdhouse cut-out from Hobby Lobby.

Boo to You!!!

I've been posting so many Christmas projects lately, I completely skipped over Halloween!!! So here's a fairly easy project idea for you. It's a treat bag made out of a picture frame I found at Hobby Lobby and some chipboard.

Basically, you just cover the frame with patterned paper, embellish and apply a piece of transparency over the area designed for the picture.
Next make a open ended box and cut out a hole that matches the hole in your frame, cover the box with patterned paper and glue it to the frame. Add a little handle and some chipboard letters and your all set.

Perfect to sit on your desk at work or to give to your favorite little ghost or goblin!

Scheme 6 - Dotty about polka dots!!!

Sorry there have been no posts for a while, it's bee a little crazy around here.
Anyway, today I have my assignment from Scrap Schemes to show you. This time Shawna's challenge for us was to create something with polka dots. I love polka dots, but didn't realize how much I used them. I mean, just look at my last post, is that project dotty or what and I didn't even plan that!!! For this project I got to show off some of my favorite models, use polka dots, and alter something for Christmas!!! Thanks for visiting my blog, I really appreciate all the kind comments you guys leave me.

See you soon,

Jen
