Collage Press - The Santa Hotline

Hello guys! Are you all ready for the holidays yet? I'm not, as usual. Thank goodness it's just my parents coming over for Thanksgiving. So it should be a pretty stress free day!

Speaking of holidays, I wanted to share my latest Christmas project with you. This is my first Collage Press assignment and features the new Joyride collection - which by the way was so much fun to work with!!! :)
If you've been visiting my blog for a while you might remember this clock I altered about a year ago, for my sister-in-law for Christmas. Well, I really really wanted to keep it! Luckily, I managed to find another one for myself. Here it is altered with Joyride's patterned papers, chipboard and stickers.

***Clarification on the telephone clock purchased from Hobby Lobby.***
I got both clocks, mine and the one for my SIL about a year ago. It just took me a while to alter mine. Sorry for any confusion.

Over the next two weeks the Collage Press design team will have new projects showcasing the Joyride collection. I've had a peek at some of the work and it's AWESOME! So make sure to stop by the CP blog to check them out and maybe win some Joyride goodies for yourself!!!

My project "The Santa Hotline" is up today.

If I don't post before Thursday...
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Big Hugs & Warm Wishes!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to share my "Friday's Feelings" Pink Paislee project with you today. You can see all the details here on the PP blog. I've also included the template for the snowman and mittens, if you want to give it a try.

Do you recognize the felt snowflakes I used for the mittens? They are the same shape snowflakes I used on my reindeer gift box!!! I really LOVE these felt die-cuts from Creative Cuts & More!... For this project I used a hot tea solution to stain the white snowflakes first. Then I stitched them and applied them to the mittens.

The Maya Road Kraft Envelope on the frame holds some notes, to Grandma from the kids.

Have a great weekend,

Happy Monday!

Hi guys! I have a couple of projects to share and some news. First of all, I'm VERY excited to say, that I'm now on the Collage Press and Maya Road design teams. I can't even begin to tell you all, how thrilled and honored I feel, to be working with these companies and the talented ladies on both teams.

I'll have some Christmas projects using Joyride, the new Collage Press collection very soon!!!:)
But before I go, here are a couple Maya Road projects.

This is my first banner ever! - Very easy to make, but I had the worst time taking photos of it for some reason - aghhh! Anyway, I'll be doing the tutorial on the Maya Road design team blog soon. In the meantime you can see more pictures here and most of the supplies used to make it.

When I first saw these MR Kraft Envelopes during CHA reveals, earlier this year, I knew I had to have them!!! :) Here's a little gift card holder I made using one the envelopes. I used Pink Paislee's Cupid line on this, (due to be released next month) and of course lots of other Maya Road goodies!!!

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back later this week with a couple more projects.

CC&M Holiday Blog Hop

Hello everyone! I'm very pleased to be one of the guest designers for Creative Cuts and More this month. I had a blast designing projects for today's blog hop! I hope you will have fun hopping from blog to blog and get inspired for the holidays.

If you just came from Ellen's blog, your right on track. If not, the start of the Holiday Blog Hop is at the Die Cut Diva blog. If for some reason one of the links is broken along the Hop don't worry, HOP back over to Die Cut Diva for the complete list.

As part of the celebration, CC&M is having a great sale. They are offering 15% off the entire store. But act quickly, this offer is only active for a couple more days, the sale will end on November 15th. Make sure you enter this code ccholidaybloghop1109 during checkout. The winner will be announced Sunday November 15th.

As a continuing part of the celebration CC&M will be giving away a FUN Christmas Card Kit! After you have finished the blog hop, return to Die Cut Diva and follow the directions.

Okay, so for my projects I decided to make some gift boxes for the holidays. This little guy is all ready for the winter season, in his hat, scarf and ear muffs! :) For this project I used the CC&M peek a view box.

Here are a view close ups.

I used Shimmerz Olive Branch Spritz on the band of the hat and Baby's Breath Spritz on the flower to add a little sparkle.
The nose (some folded paper) and a few pearls were painted with Wed Wagon Shimmerz.

Supplies
Creative Cuts & More - Peek A View box
Basic Grey Patterned Paper
Shimmerz Paints - Spritz (Olive Branch and Baby's Breath) and Shimmerz (Wed Wagon)
Pink Paislee - Rub-ons
Brads - SEI
Chipboard Tag - Maya Road
Chipboard circles - Heidi Swapp
Other - Styrofoam ball and wire, beads, buttons and pearls from Hobby Lobby

My second gift box used two small felt snowflakes in olive and one large chipboard snowflake, all of course from CC&M.

Above you can see that I stitched both of the felt snowflakes with embroidery floss. I added some patterned paper underneath one of the snowflakes. The other snowflake was trimmed, then a small paper star and some painted beads were added.

The oval box was covered with patterned paper, border stickers and rub-ons from the Pink Paislee, Mistletoe & Company collection.

The large chipboard snowflake was painted with a cream and light blue acrylic paint first. Then it was sprayed with some Shimmerz Treasured Hymn Spritz. The tips of the snowflake were then covered with patterned paper and pearls were added. In the picture above, you can see the snowflakes were layered and adhered to the box.

Here is the completed box all ready for gift giving! :)

Supplies:
Creative Cuts & More - Small felt snowflakes and large chipboard snowflake
Shimmerz Paints - Blingz (Wed Wagon and Mossy Stone) and Spritz (Baby's Breath and Treasured Hymn)
Pink Paislee - Patterned paper, Rub-ons and Sticker borders
Kaiser Craft - Pearls
Hobby Lobby - Wood reindeer cutout, paper mache box, bead chain and berry garland.

Thanks for hopping by, now head over to Holly's blog.

Are the crickets chirping yet? :)

Hello guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I thought I'd just let you know I'm still here, alive and kicking!!! In fact today is my 21st, I mean 31st....... okay, okay my 41st birthday!!!! I really can't believe I'm that old!! But I have the gray hairs to prove it, so I guess it must be true :)

On Thursday I'll have some Christmas projects for the Creative Cuts & More Blog Hop to share. So I hope you'll come back and join in the fun.

Before I go just wanted to share two of my favorite Halloween photos. Jaiden loved her costume and was smiles all day, while Jacob was a total grump!!! He wanted to be a cat, so I got him the ears and tail. I even got some face paint, to paint on a nose and whiskers. But he decided didn't want to wear "make up" or Jaiden's black t-shirt. We ended up going to Walmart and picking up a Cars Halloween t-shirt. What a STINKER!!! :)

Here's Jaiden my little "witchie-poo"!!!

....and here is Jacob giving me a reluctant tom cat pose.

See you soon,
