Counting Down to Christmas

Hello everyone. Can you believe it's almost Christmas? Definitely one of my favorite times of the year although it can be a little hectic at times. Speaking of hectic, I've been neglecting to post some of my Doodlebug Designs projects. So let me get you all caught up.

These Nutcracker countdowns are one my favorite things to make for the Holidays. Dressing them up in the latest Doodlebug "fashions" is always fun.

The red Nutcracker was created using the new Christmas Town collection and for the green Nutcracker I used Here Comes Santa Claus, an older collection. More details on these guys can be found on the DB blog HERE.

BTW: I am working on one more Christmas Town Nutcracker. He will be similar, but not identical to the red one shown. If you are interested let me know. :)

For my next project I used die-cuts, stickers and a house cutting file to help me create the topper on this advent calendar.

You can find the details on this piece HERE.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Halloween Double Decker

Happy Halloween, everyone! Today I'm sharing a project based on a piece I created a few years ago. That treat holder was made from a bus shaped mini album and some DB supplies.

This time I'm using the Doodlebug double decker cutting file and the cute new Halloween collection, Pumpkin Party.  Same concept just on a bigger scale, because who doesn't want a treat holder that can hold more candy?!  :)

For more details you can see my post on the Doodlebug blog, here.

Thanks for joining me today and Happy Haunting!

Fall Blessings

Hello everyone. I'm back to share a few projects today. A little something for Fall and a set of fun Christmas ornaments.

This first project is a wall hanging made from wood, chipboard and foam board and features Doodlebug's new Petite Prints.

Next, I created some cute Penguin ornaments. The ornaments were made using a penguin cutting file, twine, some felt, wire, Doodlebug Petite Prints patterned papers and cardstock. You can see exactly how they were done in this short tutorial.

By the way both of these projects are available in my Etsy store, JenniBean Studio.

See you soon! :)

Hello, everyone. After a short hospital stay, I was inspired to create a "Get Well Soon" gift using the So Punny collection.

Once the recipient is feeling better the pinwheels can be removed and the box could be used for storage or as home decor. More details on this project can be found on the DB blog HERE.

Another Christmas Countdown

Hi all, today I'm sharing my second Nutcracker for Etsy. This one is more traditional in color, but was just as much fun to create. Doodlebug's, Here Comes Santa Claus paper collection was used on this along matching embellishments and other crafty supplies.

For my last nutcracker, I used a lilac ruffled ribbon for the collar. I loved the look and wanted to use it again, this time in black.  Unfortunately, I had the toughest time trying to find more of the same trim. Lucky, I remembered Really Reasonable Ribbon and found exactly what I needed.... and more! :) It was great to reacquaint myself with the store again and all of their beautiful trims and ribbons.

Here you can see a closeup of the Elastic Double Ruffle Ribbon. I layered two pieces together then glued them in place.

I also received some Metallic Silver String, as a sample. with my order and decided to use it around the decorative part of the wood staff.  Love the bling it adds to the piece. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Jen :)

Doodlebug and PageMaps Team up

Hello, again. Doodlebug and PageMaps have teamed up this month so I'm back sharing a scrapbook layout with you today. I don't do layouts very often, but with the help of a good sketch, it's easy.  Here's a look at the sketch Becky Fleck from PageMaps gave me to work with.

After turning the sketch upside down, here's what I came up with.

The picture I used is of my son sleeping while we were at the zoo, so of course, I had to use Doodlebug's adorable At The Zoo collection. For all the details you can visit the Doodlebug blog.  Also be sure to swing by the PageMaps website to see all the great new sketches for this month.
