Hello everyone! Today I have some pretty cool news to share. I found out yesterday that I have been selected to join the 2015 Doodlebug Design team. Woot! Woot! :) I'm extremely honored and very excited about this amazing opportunity.
One of the projects I submitted for the call was a layout, If you can believe it! I haven't done a layout in years, but I wanted to give it a try. It's a simple design and my Doodlebug products made it come together easily. You can see the design team announcement here.
I also have a holiday swag to share. This was made using the Maya Road, Sparkle and Shine Holiday Kit. This kit is beautifully put together and full of fun embellies, trims and more. Details on this project can be found here.

Dolled Up For Halloween
Hi everyone. It's finally Fall! Well that's what my calendar says at
least. Living in Florida it's sometimes hard to tell. But as you can see
from my project, I have been thinking about Halloween. This doll was so
much fun to create and was inspired by the HBO mini series Elizabeth, a
"must see" if you haven't seen it yet.
You can find all the details for this project on the Maya Road DT blog HERE. Thanks for stopping by!
Other Supplies: Patterned Paper (Doodlebug Designs, Crate Paper and Authentique Papers) Sticker - Authentique Paper, Silhouette files (bats, spider web and Oct 31) Wire - Prima, wool, chain, wood blocks, colored pencils, fabric, craft stick, glitter and a black marker.

Easy, Peasy Gift Ideas For Teachers.
Hi All! Here are a couple of gifts I made for Teacher Appreciation week, last week. Sorry, I only managed to get a few pictures, I didn't think about taking any until the last minute.
These candy wraps are made out of a sheet of October Afternoon's 6x8 Paper and then embellished with buttons, chipboard, Maya Road twine, a wood ruler, an arrow clip, measuring tape and kraft sticker.
Next, I have some pencil holders, made out of some recycled containers. The solid one is a Pringles container. The other one was, a short Slinky container. I just added some clear acetate to make it taller. Then made a lid from thin chipboard. Each container holds about 65 pencils.
Papers used are a mixture of Fancy Pants and October Afternoon. The chipboard star, ruler, wood button, measuring tape and twine are all by Maya Road.
Thanks for stopping by. :)

Peace, Love and Happiness
Hello everyone! It's been a while, but I'm back and ready to share a couple of fun Spring projects with you. I should have posted this on here last month, but luckily this wreath can be adapted to fit any season. I used lots of paper twine on this, one of my "go to" supplies, lately! :)
Full project pics and directions can be found on the Maya Road here. One thing not mentioned on the MR blog are the file Silhouette files used. They were chick holding egg, 3d rolled spiral flowers, 3d layered bow, and scalloped borders.
My next project is a piece I created for a guest spot for SVG Cuts.

Easter Busket!???
Hello again! Sorry about the "busket" pun, but I couldn't resist. :) Today I'm sharing another CHA project, that I created for the Maya Road booth. This is actually a project I did for Halloween (you can see it here), but was asked to do another version of it for the show. Just by changing the papers and stickers, you can see how you get a completely new look.
I would have filled the bus with chocolate carrots or mini eggs, but back in December when I created this, I couldn't find anything Easter related. Imagine!!! (lol)

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope your holiday season was a good one. While I have been absent from blogging, I have been working on projects for the CHA trade show that starts later this week. So I'll be sharing those with you real soon. The MR sneak peeks start today, so make sure to stop by the blog to check them out. You are going to LOVE all the new products being released.
Speaking of "checking things out" check out the new MR catalog, for the show. Angella Peardon designed this AWESOME camera using one the new MR chipboard albums. Don't you just love it!

I Love Santa
Hello again! I'm back today to share a Maya Road project for Christmas. This little guy will be the centerpiece at the kids table for the holidays this year. He's just too cute! The reindeer, Christmas tree and design on top of the box lid, were all cut using my Silhouette. To make the reindeer a little thicker, I cut him out of heavy chipboard and foam core. To do this I used The Silhouette pen tool to draw the image first, then used the drawing, as my stencil. The image was then cut out using a utility knife.
To see more details, pictures and supply list for this project, you can visit the Maya Road dt blog.
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Hello Again!
Hello everyone, It feels so good to be back creating and blogging again
after such a long hiatus. One of the main reasons I'm back is because I
have rejoined the Maya Road design team. Yayyyyy! It seems I'm more creative with someone breathing down my neck. Ha! But
seriously, I'm thrilled to be back with the MR family and sharing my projects with you. So let's start with this one first.
I love to create owls every so often. So when I saw the Antique Mini Quill Feathers in my DT box, I couldn't resist. Here's how it was put together.
For
this project two pages from the Pumpkin Squash Coaster were used, a die
cut page and a solid one.The stem of the pumpkin was cut off from both
pages, then they were covered with patterned paper. Two decorative
scrolls were also covered with patterned paper, then the pieces were
glued together. Some twine was attached around the edges of tummy area, as you can see in the finished piece above.
For each eye four Kraft Flowers were layered
together. Since the flowers only come in two sizes, I trimmed two of the
flowers, so I would have four different sizes. Large and small wood buttons were
painted then glued together to create the eye.
The Kraft clock was mounted to some chipboard, then embellished with a chipboard star and a smaller wood one, some twine, a few stamped leaves and a sticker. The owl and the clock pieces were then attached together using some chain and jump rings. One more antique quill was then attached to the bottom of the clock. Lastly, I glued some painted Wood Twigs behind the owl to rest on.
